Stadler & Swart Attorneys Inc. has been part of the George community since 1982. What began as a small conveyancing practice has grown into a trusted name in property law across the Garden Route and beyond. Over the years, we’ve built our reputation on one simple principle: combining legal excellence with genuine care for our clients.
How We’ve Grown
By the late 1990s, our firm had become one of the leading conveyancing practices in the region, assisting prominent developers and taking on complex property projects. It was during this time that we realized something important: true success in property law doesn’t come from trying to be everything to everyone. It comes from focusing on the areas that matter most.
That’s why we chose to specialize in the fields most relevant to property law — environmental law, town planning, and local government decision-making. By combining these with our conveyancing expertise, we’re able to offer developers and property owners a service that’s both practical and comprehensive.

OUR HISTORY
Established in 1982 by Jan Swart and Rademeyer Stadler, Stadler & Swart Attorneys has a longstanding reputation for providing trusted legal services in property law, conveyancing, water law, land use law, and property development in and around George. Since its establishment, the firm has set a standard of excellence that continues to shape the practice to this day.
The founding partners set the standard for integrity and professionalism. These values continue to shape our approach, ensuring that every client benefits from consistent practical advice and tailored legal support.
Guided by the values established more than four decades ago, our current directors continue to provide clients with practical solutions, reliable advice, and legal services of the highest standard.

These topics were presented and debated by amongst others, Judges of the High Court, Senior Counsel and Senior Officials in Local, Provincial and National Government Departments.
